Hi. Going to catch you up on a few things that have been happening. Lydia and Taylor are attending band camp in a few months. It's going to be Lydia's first time cause she is just starting high school. Natalie is starting middle and is way too excited. Benjamin is loving kindergarten and is growing up way too fast. Mandy is proud of her hard worked six pack and is doing way too many flips on our new bunjie jumper. Oh ya, Daddy just made the coolest toy of the year in our backyard. By our trampoline are a few trees and one was strong enough to use. He built a wood tower which he attached bungie cords with carabiners to. You wear a harness which is atached to two carabiners on the sides. Natalie and Mandy's new record is a triple back flip. Natalie can hang in the air and do 20 back or front flips. IT IS EXTREMELY AWESOME!!!!!!   :) :) :) :) :)
Join us and jump to the moon!! Only in wilson.....

Catching Up a Little...

Hawaii 2011...Maui for 8 days=)

Wow!!! It's been quite a while since we last posted something! 2009....that's sad....
Hawaii, Ashley's Graduation, Taylor got his drivers license, Lydia is going to high school, and Natalie to middle, Mandy is powering through gymnastics (16 hours a week), and Benjamin is lovin' kindergarten!
Alrighty, fast forward three years to 2013!
Talent Show 2013...Car Wash!!  Natalie, Nadia, Megan, Mandy, and Benj=)

Today is Easter. We did our usual traditions. Dyed eggs, passover dinner, no light after sunset, sleepover in family room all together with Dad telling the story of the last week of Jesus Christ's life, sunrise and Resurrection story and hot chocolate and singing, and the best part..........CINNAMON ROLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Mom burnt the first pan!!!!! What a disappointment! =( But the second pan turned out great! What a relief!) We were kinda messed up because the Young Women Broadcast turned out to be at 7 not 6, so we had dinner too early, then me (Lydia) and mom went to the Broadcast. It was fabulous, but it made us miss the story. Everybody was asleep by 10! Record time! And up by 6:30! Another record! =) we're just a great sleep family! (Just kidding!)
We were missing you, Ashley, but we'll see you next week! We are going to Utah for General Conference and to get some of Ashley's stuff for summer (cuz she's got so much stuff that it won't all fit in a car! ;) Just kidding, I love you Ashley!)

 Love my Sons!!

Halloween 2009

Another Halloween come and gone! We are getting very good at recycling costumes: Lydia was Ashley's bat costume and Natalie was a 50's girl. Mandy was unique this year being a puppy. She turned out to be an adorable "spot" and everyone oooohhhed at her cuteness! Benjamin was as consistent with his costume as he is at staying at the table during mealtime. For the days preceding Halloween he was Tigger. Then for the school parade he wore his Frog (the main costume) but then for the party and trick or treating he was a dinosaur that we'd got at the thrift store. Lucky for him he is cute regardless of what he wears!=)

Soccer is in full force with Taylor's team making a stronger showing lately with a couple of wins. Taylor has had some football conflicts, but seems to still be a valuable contributor to his soccer team. He has scored at many of the games and plays as much as anyone. Lydia's team has been similar, with a slow start to the season, but doing a little better. She is a very valuable defender with a keen sense of positioning. Very few forwards get past her. Natalie is a super player, scoring more goals than anyone on her team. Grant is her coach and she loves playing with several friends from girl scouts or school.

Taylor's tackle football team, the Arcadia Indians, are doing awful since their star quarterback, Zach Yee, got hurt. They get killed most games and Taylor, being a receiver, doesn't see much action anymore. They tried him as QB for a bit along with a couple of other boys, but now play the QB's little brother, Josh Yee.
Taylor is playing quarterback for his Foothills flag football team and they started out struggling due to the loss of Zach there as well, but are doing better every game. Their last game they played Duarte, who had only lost once, and they ended up playing terrific and winning! It is really fun to watch him!

Ashley has been in prepare mode lately: preparing for her drivers test and joining 24 hour fitness to swim before joining the high school swim team next semester. She has really grown up this last year. She just gets more and more ready to be independent...I know she can't wait until she can drive herself everywhere.

Ashley is busy with end of year events, studying, and party planning. She struggles to find friends with the same interests as her. Most of her friends are asians that don't want to or don't have time to or can't be more social.
Taylor is fascinated with the Lord of the Rings movies and books this weekend.
Lydia just missed the Sacramento field trip for 4th grade, but enjoyed the fun activities that were held at school. About half of the kids stayed back this year and they will not do it starting next year.
Natalie wanted her hair cut shorter so I cut it chin length again and she is thrilled. Grant just pulled out her 6th tooth for her last week. Unlike her sister, Lydia, she does not like to wait long for them to fall out and has now twice asked us to pull them out to avoid further discomfort. She's so funny.
Mandy continues to be very articulate and polite and loves to play card games with mom. She also loves to help me cook. She loves swimming and is looking forward to summer. Every morning she dresses herself in the most interesting outfits. She rarely comes out without some two later shirt combo or skirt/ pants combo or the like. She is so aware of what she wears and still loves to wear her red glitter shoes.
Benjamin continues to rule the house with his adorable dimples and boyish antics. He is consumed with "planes, trains, and automobiles" but recently added his new dinosaur book from the library to the items he carries around as treasured possessions. He is soooo BOY.

We are entering the world of blogging!
A while back Ashley and Taylore began a family newsletter that they called the Jensen Jabbers and we sent copies to their grandparents. I decided that we needed a family history and wished they had continued the newsletter. I guess I finally gave in to technology and decided to try the blogging thing...
